Winifred "Winnie" Young Bell

W as born May 10, 1915 in Portageville, MO to Charlie Young and Tommie Ann Gowan Young. She died Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Golden Living Center in New Madrid, MO at the age of 101 years, 10 months and 4 days. Preceding her in   death were her parents, Tommie Ann Gowan Young and Charlie Young.

O n October 18, 1930 in Portageville she married Phillip F. Bell who preceded her in death on November 17, 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Portageville.

P receding her in death were her parents, Tommie Ann Gowan Young and Charlie Young, her husband of 67 years; Phillip F. Bell, two sons; Phillip Young and Larry Bell, two brothers; Pete Young and Harold Young, three sisters; Estelle Combs and two sisters in infancy.

S he leaves to cherish her memories one son, Donald Bell of Bunker Hill, IL, two grandchildren, Amanda Bell and Ricca Wolf Thacker, both of Portageville MO, four great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
