Virginia "Maxine" Goodman

W as born May 07, 1935 in Waynesboro, TN to Violet Mae (Warren) Ray and Earnest Ray.  She passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at her residence in Portageville, MO at the age of 86 years and 17 days.

S he was united in marriage to Billy Goodman in a double wedding with her lifelong friend Carolyn Underwood on June 26, 1954 in Sebatobia, Mississippi. Billy Goodman preceded her in death, also preceding her was her daughter, Teresa Widner, son-in-law, John Widner, her brothers, Glen, J.B and Clemon Ray, her sisters, Christine Klutz and Brenda Joyce Ray.

M axine was a member of the Church of Christ in Portageville.  She loved to travel and to spend time with her family.  She was a selfless person and would put the needs of others ahead of her self.  She was on the go most of the time, it was hard to find a time when she was just sitting around her house.

S he leaves to cherish her memories her daughters; Nancy (Carl Wayne) Pardon of Portageville, MO, Patty Moody (Marty Essary) of Portageville, MO, her sister; Nadine (Harvey) Gremard of Jonesboro AR, grandchildren; Missy Pardon, Michael Pardon, Thomas (Emily) Widner, Alison Wilbourn, Matt (Brittney) Moody, Aaron Moody, Harley (Anna) Dooley, John Essary, great-grandchildren; Logan Chambliss, Warren Chambliss, Payton Wilbourn, Marley Wilbourn, Max Pardon, Blake Pardon, Archer Moody, Adam Dooley, Jordan Dooley, Olivia Davis, Ann Elizabeth Davis and Witten Widner two great great grandchildren: Kruz Alexander, Myla Chambliss and a host of many other relatives and friends
