Viola Thresia Scherer

Was born December 3, 1921 in Portageville, MO to John and Mary (LeGrand) Klipfel. She passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at her home in Portageville surrounded by her family at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 23 days.

She was united in marriage on March 4, 1946 in Portageville to Richard George Scherer, he preceded her in death December 2, 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Mary & John Klipfel, 9 brothers and 2 sisters, Raymond, Arnold, George, Leo, Anton, Mary Klipfel, Cora Phillips, Columbus, Noah, Joseph & Charles, her daughter-in-law & granddaughter, Sherri & Megan Scherer, March 28, 1998.

Mrs. Viola was a faithful member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church where she served in Ladies

of Sodality.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Pam Scherer of Jefferson City, MO, Anthony (Tony) and Sherri Scherer of Portageville, MO, one daughter, Patricia Scherer of St. Louis, MO, four grandchildren, Cari Taubin, Robin Hulshof, Emily Paddock, Steven Scherer, nine great-grandchildren; Madeline Hulshof, Brock Hulshof, Meghan Sears, Tova Taubin, Titan Taubin, Parker Hulshof, Addyson Noyes, Alexys Noyes & Augustus Hulshof, and a host of many relatives and friends.
