Verl Mae Nadine Taber
W as born September 16, 1929 in Cambria, Oklahoma to the late Howard and Helen Wilson. She passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the Gideon Care Center, Gideon, Missouri. She was the twin sister of Earl Ray Wilson, she had four brothers and two sisters who all preceded her in death.
She married the love of her life Leroy Alfred Tabor on Feb. 2, 1946 at the tender age of 16, he preceded her in death, also preceding her were two of her four children, Beverly Brown and Alfred Tabor Jr.
She leaves behind her loving family, her children, Penny Allen of Portageville, MO and Vicki Ginn of Nipomo, CA, she was also blessed with 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Verl worked for over twenty years as a meat wrapper to support her family until she retired. Verl gave her life to God in 1962 and renewed her life long journey with Jesus in 1970. She attended the Harbor Church in Lomita, CA for 42 years, where she attend Sunday School and served in Women's Ministries and as an Usher, and she may have been the first woman usher there at Harbor Church. She loved Pastor Pruett and Namoi and was truly blessed by their ministry at the Harbor Church.
Verl was a faithful lover of God, a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a hard worker and was good hearted and shared her faith with anyone she could. She loved reading her Bible and she did every morning you could find her at the kitchen table reading her bible and her Daily Bread devotion and drinking her morning coffee. She would want to be remembered that way loving God and loving his word. And would want to tell others of Gods great love for us. She would want all who are left after her to know that she is where she longed to be with Jesus and is at peace.
