Vera Jean Silman Was born August 29, 1933 in Stanton, MO to Mary Viola (Dickson) Dunakey and Joe Dunakey. She died Monday, March 7, 2011 at her home in Portageville at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage to Delbert Silman on Feb. 10, 1956 in St. Louis MO, he survives of the home. In the earlier years of her life she was a telephone operator in St. Louis MO. She was a member of the First Church of God in Portageville, MO were she served on many committees. She was preceded in death, by her parents, Mary Viola (Dickson) and Joe Dunakey; three brothers, Eldon, Tom and Frank Dunakey. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 55 years, Delbert Silman of Portageville, one son & daughter- in- law; Mark & Cindy Silman of Benton, MO, one daughter, Karen Jevsevar of Arlington, VA, One brother, Dan Dunakey of Montgomery City, MO, Two sisters, Rose Poole of Little Rock AR, Doris McMurtry of Sparta, IL, 4 Grandchildren; Kristen Jevsevar, Jordan Silman, Andy Silman and Allan Silman, 2 Great- Grandchildren; Drew & Leah Silman and a host of many other relatives and friends.
