Vera Scherer

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mary Eftink Scherer and Barney Scherer, Four brothers; Richard Scherer, Gilbert Scherer, Jim Scherer and Bud Scherer and two sisters; Edna Scherer Christian and Georgia Scherer. She was a member of St Eustachius Catholic Church.  Owner/operator of L and S Hardware Store in Portageville

Vera Scherer is survived by one sister, Mary Jane Scherer Clark (Herman) of Sikeston, Mo.  She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her many Nieces, Nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as her friends...

She was known for her Carmel pies, rose garden, card playing and her quilting.  She and her sister Georgia were businesswomen and owned L & S Hardware and Lester Furniture Company in Portageville for many years
