Vangie Lee (Frazier) Redmond was born on 2/6/1944 in rural Portageville,Mo. to the union of the Late Thomas Mcgary Sr. and Elvira (Jennings) Mcgary.
Preceding her in death are parents, two husbands, the Late Willie James Frazier, and Late Henry Redmond,,two daughters-Carolyn Sue Frazier and Vanyelle Lee Redmond, brothers- Harold,Sterling,Thomas Jr.Lonnie,JC,Willie,and Richard,
sisters-Lorraine,Naomi,and Marilyn.
As a child Vangie was raised in rural Portageville,Mo..She attended Scott Elementary school,but later at age 30 received her GED diploma in St. Louis,Mo..
Vangie accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized by Rev. Damon T.Frazier of New Salem M.B. Church in Portageville, Mo..
Vangie was a faithful member of Payne AME Church in Waterloo, Iowa.
Later 1971, Moved to St.Louis,Mo.,with her family. Joined St.John AME Church under Rev. J Forbes and later Longtime member of West End Mount Carmel M.B. church under Rev. J.E.Turner ,in St Louis, Mo..
Vangie enjoyed being a nurturing homemaker wife and mother to her family.
Her career track enables her talents in cooking and seamstress with desires to serve others. She loved telling old time childhood life stories.
1965-1966 She loved singing in the quartet with family and friends in Waterloo, Iowa.
She departed this life on Friday, January 19th 2024 peacefully at her home surrounded with family by her bedside.
