Tonya Sue Richardson was born on June 9, 1976, in Kennett MO to her late father; Gary Brown and mother, Carolyn Frazier Sanders, she passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 50 years and 7 days.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Brown, and one son, David McCarter.

Tonya was united in marriage to Robert Richardson on July 24, 2021, at Crossroads Church in Braggadocio. She found joy in baking, tending to her garden, camping and shopping, but above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert Richardson of Hayti, Missouri; her mother, Carolyn Sanders of Hayti, Missouri; her sons, Joshua McCarter of Kennett, Missouri, and Austin McCarter of Hayti, Missouri; her grandchildren, David Eugene McCarter, and Marilynn McCarter; her brothers, Gary Wayne Brown of Hayti, Missouri, and Johnny Wayne Stephens of Caruthersville, Missouri; and her sister, Becky Brown of Hayti, Missouri. She also leaves behind her cherished fur babies, Ozzy, and Baby Girl.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with interment at Portageville Cemetery.

Tonya will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
