Tom Charles Doering Was born March 7, 1945 in Nappanee, Ind. to George Doering and Marian Brock Doering. He died Sept.21, 2015 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends, he was 70 Years 6 Months & 14 Days. He was united in marriage, to Lynn (Fisher) Doering on Sept. 9, 1983 in Lake County Ill, she survives of the home. Preceding him in death were his parents, Marian Brock Doering & George Doering, and his loving companion Suni. Mr. Tom enjoyed hunting & fishing and serving his community and his nation, he retired from the United States Navy after serving for many years. He was employed for several years by DeLisle Funeral Home, proudly served and retired as a Portageville Police Officer from 1992 - 2014 and the Portageville Fire Department from 1991 - 2009, he was a member of the First Assembly of God Church . He leaves to cherish his memories wife: Lynn Doering of Portageville, MO; three sons: Eric (Rachel) Oberg of Memphis, Tenn., Derek (Lanie) Oberg of Memphis, Tenn. & Tim Oberg of Portageville, MO; two daughter; Kara Doering of Elkhart Ind. & Jennifer Doering of California one brother: Mike Doering of Elkhart, Ind. & four grand- children Madeline Oberg, Grayson Oberg, Max Oberg & Gilbert Oberg and a host of many other relatives and friends.
