Theresa Evelyn Louise Powell "Lou:

Theresa Evelyn Louise Powell "Lou" 83 of Summerdale, AL passed away Tuesday March 24th, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born November 16, 1942, at Baderville MO. First born daughter of Clem C. & Daisy Mae Musgrave. She and Franklin Donald Powell were married on January 21, 1970, he preceded her in death on April 29, 2003.

Lou wore many hats throughout her life. She was a homemaker, seamstress, business owner & later in life as an adventurer. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans Foreign Wars, as well as Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter, Donette (Billy) Clark of New Madrid MO, two sons; Scottie Powell of Summerdale AL & Nickey (Alicia) Powell of Fairhope AL. Grandchildren: Tabitha (Chris) Jackson of Centralia MO, Kasi (Kesley) Clark of New Madrid MO & Rusty (Kelly) of New Madrid MO, Nickey Powell of South Carolina, Taylor Powell of Jackson Mo & Aubery Powell of Arkansas . Great Grandchildren; Chevy & Lindsey Grimsley of Hugbee MO, Maddox & Lindy Childress & Ava Harrell of New Madrid MO, Tatum, Memphis & Maverick Clark of New Madrid MO, Brach Robertson of Jackson MO, Lorelai Wheat & Aelfwynn Claybaugh of Foley AL.

Also surviving brothers; Earnie Musgrave of House Springs MO, David Musgrave of Portageville MO, James Musgrave of Portageville MO, Stephen Musgrave of Gideon MO. Six sisters; Barbara Probst, Janie Fornchol of Cape Girardeau Mo, Patsy Biri of Jackson MO, Venita Noah of Shawneetown MO, Sandra Froman of Zalma MO & Martha Musgrave of Wardell MO.

She preceded in death by three brothers; Harold Page, Leroy Musgrave & Eugene Musgrave and four sisters; Gladys Page, Valina Doster, Maxine Opal Hartman & Irma Graham.

In the days leading up to her death Lou chose to celebrate life with everyone in lieu of a funeral following her wishes. Her immediate family will hold a private ceremony following her death. She will be cremated per request.

Thank you to all of those who made her last days memorable. She genuinely enjoyed celebrating with you all, her last words were to tell everyone she loved them.
