Terry Cook Obituary

Terry Rondal Cook, 66, of Portageville, MO, passed away on May 4, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Terry was born on June 13, 1956 to Cecil & Wilma in Conran, MO.

In 1973, Terry met Debra Carnell in Portageville, MO. They were joined together in marriage in 1974. Terry and Debra had two children, Marcus & Dustin. Terry was a natural leader and well-known for his tough exterior, tender heart, and generosity. A faithful Christian, Terry served in many capacities in his local church throughout his life. A man of many talents, Terry was wholly devoted to sharing his time and talent with his children and many others, to have been given a nickname by Terry was a badge of honor.

In 2020, Terry retired and spent his time riding his motorcycle, vacationing with Debra, and spending countless hours with his four grandchildren in Tupelo, MS.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Cook; mother, Wilma Cook; and sisters, Polly Cook & Cathy Jarnagin. He is survived by his wife, Debra Cook; two sons, Marcus Cook of Portageville, MO & Dustin (Jennifer) Cook of Tupelo, MS; brothers, DC Cook, Claudie Cook, JC Cook, Michael Cook, & Dennis Cook all of Portageville, MO; and grandchildren, Lyric, Anson, Jasper, & Gibson Cook of Tupelo, MS.

Services will be held at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, MO on Sunday May7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Richard Lee officiating.
