Tameria Jeanette Harris

Tameria Jeanette Harris, age 65, of Portageville, Missouri was born October 6, 1960, she passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family,  on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Tameria was born on October 6, 1960, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Phyllis June Dodson Engelhardt and Donald Engelhardt Sr. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Donald Gene Harris.

A 1979 graduate of Caruthersville High School, Tameria built a life defined by love, family, and quiet joys. On April 18, 1983, she was united in marriage to Travis J. Harris Sr., and together they shared many years of devotion and companionship.

Tameria especially loved spending time in the Smokey Mountains, enjoyed reading, and cherished the companionship of her beloved cats. Her gentle nature, warm heart, and steady faith were felt deeply by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Travis Harris Sr. of Portageville, MO; her daughter, Dominique (Stan) Foster, also of Portageville; and her son, T.J  Harris, of Portageville. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Bona Harris of Portageville, MO. her brother, Donald (Carrie) W. Engelhardt Jr. of Caruthersville, MO; her sister, Renee Smith of Caruthersville, MO; two granddaughters, Camryn Foster and Stella Foster; and her great‑grandson, Graycen Curtright, who brought her immense joy.

Her life and legacy reflect the words of 2 Timothy 4:7:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
