Susie Kitty Sylvan Was born Feb. 26, 1927 in Wardell, MO to Ora Roberts Cheek and Robert Lee Cheek. She died Monday April 20, 2009 at Golden Age Living Center, New Madrid, MO at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 22 days. She was united in marriage to George Sylvan in September of 1956 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death in September 1996. She leaves to cherish her memories 2 step-sons and their families: Mike Sylvan of Denver, Colorado & Alan Sylvan of San Antonio, Texas; her sisters: Ada Kellams and her family & Imogene Head both of Portageville, MO, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday April 23, 2009 at DeLisle Funeral Chapel with Dr. Buck Morton officiating. Pallbearers were: Lewis Rone, Melvin Johnston, Curt Royster, Bill Clayton, Larry Bradfield & Mike Kellams. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery.
