Shirley Jane Prince Was born July 19, 1931 in Memphis, TN to Gertrude (Broom) Burk and Fred H. Burk. She died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at her residence in Marston, MO at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 30 days. She was united in marriage September 6, 1949 to Wayne Prince, in Piggott. AR, he survives of the home. Preceding her in death were her parents, Gertrude (Broom) & Fred H. Burk, one brother, Charles Burk, sisters; Glenna Faye Hilton & Louise Kretsmer. She was a lifelong member of the Evergreen Baptist Church in Marston, she had taught Sunday School & been a teachers assistant, but most of all she loved spending time with family & friends. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 63 years, Wayne Prince of Marston, MO, son, David Wayne Prince of Marston, MO, daughter & son-in-law, Angela (Prince) & Joe Smelzer of Marston, MO, sisters, Mary Sue (Burk) Williams of Memphis, TN, Charlene (Burk) Ponder of Marston, MO, one grandchild, David Wayne Prince and a host many other relatives and friends.
