Obituary for Shirley McTheeney

Shirley McTheeney, age 78, of Park Hills, Missouri, passed away on November 26, 2025, at Mercy South in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on December 30, 1946, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Mary Baker Hinton and Russell Eli Hinton.

Shirley lived a full life of 78 years, 10 months, and 27 days. She spent her later years in Benton, Missouri, where she lived with her sister Betty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Baker Hinton and Russell Eli Hinton; four brothers, William (Jr.) Hinton, Clifford Wiseman, Glen J. Wiseman, and Bobby Hinton; and one sister, Betty Williams.

She leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Mark McTheeney of Charleston, Missouri, and Robert Hinton of Sikeston, Missouri; her sister, Donna Hinton of Park Hills, Missouri, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, Missouri, with Rev. Reggie Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at DeLisle Funeral Home.

Shirley will be remembered for her love of family and the kindness she shared with all who knew her.
