Shirley Collins Was born November 29, 1933 in West Frankfort, IL to Sylvester Hoy and Mary Ruth (Hatchett) Hoy. She died Monday; July 27, 2015 at Golden Living Center at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 28 days. She was united in marriage June 6, 1948 in Benton, IL to Charles Collins he preceded her in death Jan. 11, 2004, also preceding her in death were her parents, Mary Ruth (Hatchett) Hoy & Sylvester Hoy, her sister, Pansy Moss. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Portageville, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, pottery and watching westerns, she was a proud realtor and worked for At&t for many years. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Charles Laverne Collins of Missouri,Larry Dale (Sharon) Collins of Charleston, MO, Robert Lynn Persinger of Morehead, Ky, one daughter, Mary Lucille (Bob) Carter of Portageville, MO. her grandchildren, Brandy Burton, Justin Birdwell, Alesha Persinger, Phillip Persinger, Sydney Beth Carter, Robert Allen Carter, Britinni McDuff, Great Grandchildren, Alexis, Trenton, Jacob, Sam, Baylee, Nolen and a host of many other relatives and friends.
