In Loving Memory of Sharon Kay Darnall

December 31, 1952 – August 2, 2026

It is with deep sadness that the family of Sharon Kay Darnall, age 73 years, 7 months, and 2 days, announces her passing on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Sharon was born on December 31, 1952, in Conran, Missouri, to the late Imogene Lamar Jeffries and Larry Jeffries. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Brian Darnall and Jon Gregory "Greg" Corbett; and her brother, Larry Jeffries. She was united in marriage to Lester Maurice Darnall on November 16, 1976 he preceded her in death November 17, 2012.

Sharon had a warm and loving spirit, and she cherished time spent with her family and friends. Her kindness, laughter, and devotion to those she loved will be remembered always.

She is survived by her son, Brandon Darnall of Portageville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Christi Darnall of Hayti, Missouri; brothers, Donnie Jeffries of Portageville, Missouri, and Lannie Jeffries of Mississippi; sisters, Donna Durbin of Portageville, Missouri, and Linda (Ray) Thacker of Portageville, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel in Portageville, Missouri.

Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the chapel, with interment at Portageville Cemetery.
