Sarrah Pauline Boone passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 5, 1936 in the Brent Community (Portageville Route) to the late Paul and Manalla (Donoho) Ward. Sarrah Pauline was 88 years old and leaves behind a legacy of giving, kindness, compassion and unconditional love for her friends and family.
Sarrah Pauline graduated from Wardell High School in 1954. While in high school, she enjoyed participating in softball and basketball. She also enjoyed working on the family farm with her dad driving tractors and combines. On February 23, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Dean Boone, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2010.
Upon leaving the Bootheel in 1959, she and her family relocated to the St. Louis area, where she remained all these years. After working for 40 years at The Boeing Company, formerly known as McDonnell Douglas, in St. Louis, Sarrah Pauline retired from her supervisory position in 1999. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, canning and making homemade jellies and jams from the seasonal fruits grown at Eckert's.
She is survived by a son, Kimberly Dean (Hedy) Boone, Dardenne Prairie, MO; a daughter, Kristi LeAnn Boone, Jefferson City, MO; three sisters, JoPatsy (Billy Joe) Hitchcock, Clever, MO; Barbara Stanley, Portageville, MO; Beverly (Robert) McCulloch, Portageville, MO; two granddaughters, Rachel (Kyle) Keesling, Indianapolis, IN; Amanda Boone, Ballwin, MO; two great grandchildren, Khloe and Cooper Keesling, Indianapolis, IN; as well as, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday, February 3, 2025 at DeLisle Funeral Home. Memorial Service will immediately follow; Burial will be in the Portageville Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions can be made in her name to the following Organizations: Lustgarten Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
