Sam Livingston Butler

W as born March 19, 1925 in Cullman Alabama to Samuel Butler and Bessie Butler. He died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, MO at the age of 91 years 9 months and 29 days.

P receding him in death were his parents, Bessie Butler and Samuel Butler, his daughter, Malinta Butler, his sister, Esma Killion and brothers, Arthur and Marvin Butler.

H e was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Army. He was united in marriage to Rosalie "Rose" Phillips on June 18, 1943 in New Madrid, Mo she survives of the home. He loved to explore the history of the Civil War, he was a Boy Scout leader and loved spending time with his family.

H e leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rose Butler of Festus, Mo, his son & daughter-in-law, Samuel L. (Donna)  Butler 3rd  of Bloomsdale, Mo, daughter and son in law, Linda (Butler) & George Kirk of Caseyville, Il, 2 grandchildren: Sarah Butler of Bloomsdale, Mo & Mellissa Sue Kirk of Caseyville, Il, Niece; Carolyn Butler Tillery of Cullman, Alabama, Nephew; Gary Butler of Nashville, Tennessee, Gene Killion of Boaz Kentucky and a host of many other relatives and friends.
