Was born July 23, 1957 in Portageville, Mo to Nuchel Eugene Townsend and Mildred Ray Townsend. He died Thursday April 6, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Mo at the age of 59 years 8 months and 14 days. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mildred Ray Townsend and Nuchel Eugene Townsend one brother Donald Townsend and sister Melissa Townsend.

He was employed with Richardson Farms for over 40 years, and a member of the Church of God. He loved being around his family, and friends and working in the fields. He was united in marriage on September 4, 1992 in New Madrid Mo to Sue Young she survives of the Home.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Linda (Sue) Townsend of New Madrid, Mo, one son, Jason Townsend of Sikeston, Mo, two daughters, Amy Babb of Marston, Mo, Becky  (Brandon ) Burton of Lilbourn, Mo, his brother, Johnny (Vicki) Townsend of Dyersburg, Tn, two sisters, Marsha (David) Christian of Portageville, Mo and Patricia Ann Townsend of Jackson, Tn. Four grandchildren, Dakota Ivie, Seth Townsend, Drake Burton, Gabriel Burton, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
