Robert Lee Nowell

W as born July 29, 1924 in Portageville, MO to Allie Estes Beaton Nowell & Columbus Nowell. He passed away on July 2, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Home- Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 4 days.

A ugust 22, 1922 in Caruthersville, MO, he married the love of his life Ruby Marie Hayes, they have been lovingly together for 76 years.

P receding him in death was his parents, Allie Estes Beaton Nowell and Issac Columbus (Ike) Nowell, also preceding him were several siblings. Mr. Nowell worked for the Highway Department as a heavy equipment driver before retiring. Mr. Nowell served in the United States Army during WWII receiving several awards and commendations.

H e leaves to cherish his many memories his wife; Marie Ruby Nowell of Portageville, MO, sons: Robert Larry Nowell of Portageville, MO, Donnie William Nowell of Mt. Olive, IL, Ricky Lee Nowell of Portageville, MO, Anthony (Tony) Allen Nowell of Cape Girardeau, MO, Randy Michael Nowell of Portageville, MO,  daughters: Janet Nowell Faulk of Portageville, MO, Patricia Lou (Nowell) Silman of Cape Girardeau, MO, one sister, Annis Cecelia Angel of McLean, IL, 18 Grandchildren, 37 Great- Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
