Obituary

Robert Henderson

Was born November 7, 1953 in Memphis, TN to Joseph Henderson and Nell Wolfe Henderson.  He died Sunday, August 29, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 67 years.

On October 14, 1998 he was united in marriage to Tracy Berry Henderson who survives of the home.  Preceding him in death was his father Joseph Henderson and brother Joseph Myron Henderson.  He was of the Baptist faith, and worked as a Carpenter and for the Boll Weevil Eradication Program of SE MO.

Bob had a great love for music, as a singer/songwriter and musician, which began in high school, and continued up until his death.  He was a member of several local bands over the years, including the Black Island Boogie Band and Neon Nite.  Bob used his "Gift of Music" to help others in need, whether it was for a Benefit, or to comfort families at their time of sorrow, as he was always thinking of others.  His proudest moments were playing at wineries and other small local venues with his daughter Jennifer and granddaughter Cadence the last few years.  Bob was also able to reunite with former classmates, over the last few years, which brought him great joy.  Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.

He leaves behind a very loving family: his wife of 22 years, Tracy Henderson of Dexter, MO; one daughter, Jennifer Henderson (Chris) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; one granddaughter, Cadence Morrison of Mt. Pleasant, TN; his mother Nell Henderson of Paducah, KY; and two sisters, Donna Mattingly of Frisco, TX and Janet Powell of Paducah, KY; 6 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; and a host of many other relatives and great friends.
