Robert Wayne Farrenburg
Robert Wayne Farrenburg, age 65, passed away on April 18, 2026 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on December 17, 1960 to Paul E. "Buck" Farrenburg and Lila Mae Farrenburg.
Wayne was the youngest of his siblings, the baby of the family. No matter how much time passed, he was always their "little brother" and they looked after him, teased him, and loved him unconditionally.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Michael Curry; and his siblings, Janet Hall and Gary Farrenburg.
He was a devoted member of The Farrenburg Church of the Brethren and leaves behind his cherished church family, who meant so much to him.
Wayne was never one to sit still for long. If the sun was up, chances are Wayne was outside on the farm, in the woods, or off chasing his next find at an auction. He loved the land, the quiet of hunting, and the kind of work that left your hands dirty and your mind clear. But more than anything, he loved being "PaPa Wayne."
To his grandchildren, his farm wasn't just land, it was an adventure. Every visit felt like a treasure hunt, with buses full of auction finds waiting to be explored and stories tucked into every corner. He didn't worry much about rules when it came to them. If anything, he made sure they had the freedom to be kids.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Farrenburg whom he shared many years of love and life. His siblings, Larry and Cindy Farrenburg, Danny and Dana Farrenburg, Tim and Martha Ann Farrenburg, and Wanda Dale and Lee Naas. His children, Hollie and Ricky Fodge, Adam and Kathy Farrenburg, Logan Farrenburg and 2 step- children, Gary Curry, and Kristin Clark. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Madalyn Fodge and Dylan Fodge, Drew Farrenburg, Anabelle Farrenburg, Sadie Farrenburg, Ava Farrenburg, Ivi Farrenburg, Kynli Farrenburg, Leeland Farrenburg, Presley Farrenburg, Aubrey Farrenburg, Taylor Clark, Jaden Clark, Kyleigh Clark, Dylan Curry, Caine Curry, Madi Curry & Makenzie Muse and one great granddaughter, Elsie Hicks, and many nieces and nephews.
