Richard Gale Shires Was born September 7, 1933 in Wardell, MO to Paul Robert Shires and Cora Adele Hogan. He died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, MO at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was united in marriage Aug. 25, 1956 in Mississippi to Faye Fillingim. She survives. Preceding him in death, were his parents, Cora Adele Hogan & Paul Robert Shires and one brother, Bob Shires. He was employed by Coca Cola and Wonder Bread and owned and operated Curtis Café in Hayti, MO. He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Kendal Shires of St. Charles, MO, his daughter, Kim Browning of Longview, TX, his children's mother, Faye Fillingim of Portageville, MO, his sister, Glenda Watkins of Walls, MS, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
