Richard Eugene Mays

Was born on June 10, 1949 in Decatur, Tennessee to the late Mabel O'Dean Mays & Forrest Douglas Mays. He passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the Gideon Care Center, Gideon, MO, at the age of 75 years 5 months and 2 days.

He was united in marriage to Sherry Whittemore on April 27, 1984 in Portageville, Missouri, she survives of the home. He was a retired carpenter, where you can see his craftsmanship throughout Southeast Missouri.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Mabel O'Dean Mays and Forrest Douglas Mays, Also preceding him in death was his Sisters, Tessie Thompson and Dorothy Wagner and one brother Edgar Mays

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Sherry Mays of Portageville, MO, sons, Richard Mays of Sikeston, MO, Steven (Chasity) Mays of Portageville, MO, daughter, Teresa Roberts of Portageville, MO, brothers, Herbert (Christin) Mays of Lilbourn, MO, Douglas (Susan) Mays of O'Fallon, Missouri and Edward Mays of Cape Girardeau,  Missouri, grandchildren, Kayla Mays, Callie Roberts, Alexa Holmes, Tyler Haynes, Garrett & Lilly Mays and a host of many other relatives & friends.
