Raymond L. Brandenburg Was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Pemiscot County, MO to Mary Copeland Brandenburg and Thomas Brandenburg. He died July 9, 2008 at his Home in Portageville at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 27 days. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mary "Madge" Copeland Brandenburg & Thomas Brandenburg; 1 daughter, Gloria Louise Brandenburg; 2 brothers, Thomas Copeland & Winfred Gale Brandenburg. Two sisters: Wilma Joy and Ruth Ellen Davison & 1 step-daughter, Rita Brandenburg. He leaves to cherish his memories his loved one Bonnie Sutton of the Portageville, MO; 2 sons: Danny (Judy) Brandenburg & Michael Brandenburg of Big Sandy, TN ; 1 daughter: Angela Kay Tidwell of Big Sandy, TN; 4 step-daughters: Sheila Sutton Taylor & Tina Hall of Portageville, MO, Nancy Jones & Althea Sutton of Sikeston, MO; 7 brothers: Louie Clinton Brandenburg of Pt. Pleasant, MO, Thomas Eugene Brandenburg of Finley, TN, Cletus Charlie Brandenburg of Portageville, Clifford Brandenburg of Portageville, MO, Calvin Earl Brandenburg of Cooter, MO, Aubrey Alton Brandenburg of Marston, MO & James Ricky Brandenburg of Blytheville, AR; 3 sisters: Glenda Faye Baker of Poplar Bluff, MO, Reva Carol Mays of St. Louis, MO & Joyce Lean Webbenmeyer of St. Charles, MO; 1 granddaughter, Amanda Brandenburg & 1 grandson, Daniel (Bunny) Tidwell; numerous step-grand & great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 12, 2008 at the Temple of God's Glory Church with Rev. Reggie Grant officiating. Pallbearers were: Lewis Rone, Robert Mays, Chuck Brandenburg, Chris Sutton, Joey Brandenburg & Eddie Mays. Honorary bearers: Buddy Forester, Benny Taylor & Bill Kincade. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery with DeLisle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
