P riscilla Ann (LaFerney)Patton, passed quietly on March 17, 2023 to receive her eternal reward, robe and crown, with her family by her side. She was the 10th of 13 children born August 26, 1928 to the late Rev. L.M. LaFerney and Fannie Purcell LaFerney.

O n May 19, 1947, she married the love of her life James D. (J.D.) Patton, Sr. who, after 73 together preceded her in death in 2021.  Also, preceding her were 7 sisters and 5 brothers.

P riscilla was an active, life-long chartered member of J.Y. Church of God.  She enjoyed working in the yard, reading, sewing, knitting but most of all having her family nearby.  She was an excellent cook who loved trying new recipes, always encouraging others to "try it, you might like it". Together, she and J.D. owned and operated Patton Plumbing Heating & Air for over 40 years.

T hose left to cherish her memories are  one daughter Brenda Gardner, sons James (Judy) Patton & Mark (Shirley) Patton all of Portageville, MO; five grandchildren: Channon (Kit) Skinner of Grapevine, TX, David (Ashlie) Patton, Louis Mark (Libby) Patton and Jonathan Patton all of Portageville, MO, Jay (Brandi)Patton of New Albany, MS; 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother Don (Jean) LaFerney of Kingsport, TN, 2 sisters-in-law, Geneva Patton and Sharon Patton along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
