Phillip Eugene Silman

Phillip Eugene Silman, 77, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Portageville Nursing Home.

He was born on November 18, 1948, in Gideon, Missouri, to the late A.J. Silman and Margie Gray Silman.

Phillip proudly served his country in the United States Military and worked as a truck driver for many years. He was known for his strong work ethic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. Silman and Margie Gray Silman; three brothers, Delbert Silman, Merril Dee Silman, and Jerry Silman; and one sister, Brenda Silman.

Phillip is survived by his son, Jacab Silman of Clarkton, Missouri; his daughters, Samantha Jean Rice of Wappapello, Missouri, Stacey Jackson of New Madrid Missouri; two brothers, Robert Silman of Marston, Missouri, and Danny Silman of Portageville, Missouri; and four sisters, Nancy Edgar of Portageville, Missouri, Terri Joiner of Malden, Missouri, JoAnn Vaughn of La Mirada, California, and Barbara Dabney of Columbia, Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
