Peggy Gene (Walker)  Howell passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Portageville, Missouri.

Peggy was born July 24, 1947 in Gideon, Missouri to the late Ruth (Rogers) and Elmer Walker.

On August 5, 1995 in Bardwell, Kentucky  she married Kenneth Howell, together they owned and operated the Kountry Café, where she loved her Kentucky family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was proceeded in death by her two sons, Christopher Ray Prescott, September 12, 2012 and David Eugene Murphy, May 20, 2016. Two brothers, Leo and Windy Winchester, one sister, Carolyn Walker.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her family, her husband, Kenneth Howell of the home in Bardwell, KY, her daughter, Becky Nowell of Portageville, MO, step-daughter, Tessia (Tim) Land of Union City, TN, step-son, Keith (Stacey) Howell of Clinton, KY, her three sisters, Nancy Wilkerson of Malden, MO, Velma Wilburn of Gideon, Mo and Kaye (Troy) Campbell of Kennett, Mo, grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Lyndsey Nowell, David (Becky) Murphy, Benjamin Murphy, Logan Prescott, great-grandchildren, Tyler Hill , Damian Murphy, Joey Murphy, Garrett Hill, Serenity Murphy, John Murphy, Anna Murphy, step-grandchildren, Brandon and Haley Land, Nathan, Anna & Macy Howell, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
