W as born October 5, 1918 in Portageville, MO to Bill Roberts and Dema (Wells) Roberts. She died Wednesday. February 3, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 29 days.

S he was united in marriage to the love of her life on October 13, 1938 in Portageville, MO to Orsville Springer Sr, he preceded her in death 1991, also preceding her in death were her parents, Dema (Wells) & Bill Roberts, two sons, Orsville Mackie Springer Jr. in 1990 & Chester Springer, her sisters, Opal, Rose, Pansy, Sylvia, her brothers, Charles, Willie & Everett.

M rs Pearl was always busy taking care of her family, in addition she worked at Hamra's Department store for many years, then she worked at Plastine's. She was active in church and was a 4-H leader. She was a member of the community ladies organization where there were many quilting parties followed by big hot tamale suppers. She sewed both for pleasure and for necessity during her life. She was famous for her good cooking, especially her chicken and dumplings.

S he leaves to cherish her many memories her daughters, Linda (Leon) Wiggs of Cape Girardeau, MO Diane (Elva Ray) McClendon of Caruthersville, MO, sisters, Bessie Crumley of Portageville, MO Phyllis Harrelston of Warrenton, MO, 2 Grandchildren ; Mackie Springer III of Springfield, TN,Malcom Springer of Portageville, MO, 7 Great Grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
