Pauline Cummings French Was born April 18, 1915 in Portageville, MO to Sallie Jane Cummings and Frank Cummings she died Saturday November 5, 2011 at Poplar Bluff, Mo at the age of 96 years, 6 months and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Ernest French On Feb. 16, 1952 he proceeded her in death on August 24, 1973. Also preceding her in death, were her parents, Sallie Jane Cummings & Frank Cummings; Sister Louise Cummings Stafford, Jim Cummings Harry Paul Cummings, Jim Cummings Step daughter Pansy Thorpe. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portagerville Where she was in the Agape Sunday School Class. She enjoyed painting and knitting. Early in life she worked for LaFont Oil Company and was a Teacher Aide for the Portageville Schools. She leaves to cherish her memories, Her Daughter and son in law, Laura French Dowd and Husband Ron of Poplar Bluff MO. Sister-in-law, Willadean Cummings of St. Charles MO Step Grand Children; Kimberly Thorpe of Beloit Wisconsin, Laura (Thorpe) Bonebright & Husband Bob of Stoughton, Wisconsin. Bob Thorpe and Jim Thorpe of Wisconsin Step Great Grandchildren; Madeline Bonebright and Zack Bonebright of Stoughton Wisconsin.
