She was united in marriage in Bloomfield, MO on Feb. 18, 1970 to James Patton who preceded her in death in 1992. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Jonas & Idell Lewis Thornton; 1 daughter, Margaret Wilson; 1 grandson, Vernell Jackson, Jr.; 2 sisters: Margaree Marie Slaughter & Victoria Blacksure; 5 brothers: Bobby Joe, Eugene, Albert, Lawrence & Jonas Thornton, Jr. & 1 son-in-law, Orlando Jerome Kershaw, Sr. She was a member of the Bible Believers Outreach Ministries in Marston, MO She leaves to cherish her memories 3 sons: Henry Wilson of Kansas City, MO, Johnny Wilson of Elgin, IL & Michael Wilson of Portageville; 3 daughters: JoAnn Jackson of New Madrid, Aretha Kershaw of Portageville & Magnolia West of Columbia, MO; 1 brother: Charles Thornton of Poplar Bluff, MO; 3 sisters: Mary Louise Davis of Tiptonville, TN, Aretha Milner of Parma, MO & Marie Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO; 11 grandchildren: Lashondia Wilson, Julius Wilson, Aiden Wilson, Misty Wilson, Charles Wilson, Molly Jackson, Sharina Kershaw, Orlando Kershaw, Jr., Michael-Jonathan Patton, Patrice Burgess & Harmony Patton; 7 great-grandchildren: Jordon Wilson, KeAndre Marsh, Shelexia Thomas, Shauntavis Thomas, Skylar Thomas, Stormy Kershaw & Da-Linden Kershaw and a host of other relatives and friends.
