Nuchel "Pete" Eugene Townsend Was born August 11, 1925 in Sidon, AR to Ruthie R. "Becca" (Haney) Townsend and John Townsend. He died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 in Jackson, TN at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 10 days. He was united in marriage to Mildred Ray on August 8, 1947 in Piggott, AR she preceded him in death October 25, 2005, also preceding him in death, were his parents, Ruthie R. "Becca" (Haney) & John Townsend; one sister, Elva Vires and brothers, Millard, Dillard, Fletcher, Jackie, and Alfred Townsend He was a lifelong member of the First Church of God where he served as custodian, he was also a member of the Men's Group. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII as a Maintenance Engineer. He leaves to cherish his memories, Sons: Johnny (Vicki) Townsend of Dyersburg, TN, and Ronnie Allen (Sue) Townsend of New Madrid, MO, two daughters, Marsha (David) Christian of Portageville, MO, Patricia Ann Townsend of Jackson, TN , two brothers, Issac "Hawk" Townsend of Kirkwood, Mo & Donnie Townsend of Mobile, AL, 6 Grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
