Norma Jean Carter passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 16th 2025. She was a faithful, kind, and spunky lady who leaves many wonderful memories for her friends and family to cherish.

Born on July 3, 1942 to William Charles and Mary Frances Duff, Norma attended St Eustachius Catholic School and Portageville High School where she met the love of her life, Bobby Carter. They were married on July 7, 1962. They have one son, Bob Carter Jr., who she was so proud of.

Norma was a faithful member of St Eustachius Catholic Church. She prayed and served for decades, helping glorifying Jesus and encouraging others to keep him first. All who loved her believed she had a direct line to Jesus himself.

She's leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 62 years, Robert Andrew Carter, Sr., her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Andrew Carter, Jr. and Mary Lucille Carter, grandchildren Britinni McDuff (Erin), Sydney Hagedorn (Blake), Robert Allen Carter, great-grandchildren Claire McDuff, James McDuff, and Collins Hagedorn, along with her precious sisters and countless family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her daddy, Charlie Duff, and mother, Mary Francis Duff, and her sister, Lawanda Blowers.

Norma enjoyed serving her church, took great pride in keeping books for her husband and son's plumbing business as well as City Jewelry and Pawn, volunteering at Southeast Hospital, attending all her grandchildren's events as their sweet Nanny, and being up for an adventure any time.

A special thank you to everyone who has supported Norma and her family through her sickness journey, especially Ms Donna, Rosie and Whitney as well as everyone else who cared so well for her. Your kindness means so much.
