Frances Mignon "Nonnie" Laux was born on December 16, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to the late Katie Frances Walker Morris & Henry C. "Hank" Morris. She passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024 at Delta South Nursing Facility in Sikeston, MO, at the age of 76 years 11 months and 18 days.

She was united in marriage July 30, 1966 in St. Louis, MO to Theodore "Ted" Laux. She lost the love of her life as he preceded her in death on June 30, 2020.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, Katie Frances Walker Morris and Henry C. Morris.

Nonnie loved cooking big meals and spending time with her family and friends. She not only cared for her own family, she also ran a daycare from 1981 to 1989. Many times, "her" kids didn't want go home or wanted to stay and eat supper at "Aunt Nonnie's". She and Ted often made best friends with newcomers with children who moved to Portageville.  They treated them just like family.  They also hosted a Japanese exchange student. She loved to shop and host home parties for family and friends.  She also loved and spoiled her fur baby, Willow. For many years she worked as an EMT for New Madrid County Ambulance and also worked as a dispatcher for the Portageville Police Department.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Sons, Charles Joseph "Chuck" (Cassi) Laux of Waianae, Hawaii and Bradley Wayne "Brad" Laux of Portageville, MO.

Her Brothers, David (Jana) Morris of Portageville, MO and Charles "Butch" (Sharon) Morris of St. Louis, MO.  Grandchildren, Valkyrie (Corbin) Russell and Walker Laux, and a host of many other relatives and friends
