Nina Mae Kimes Was born October 18, 1938 in Pemiscot County near Wolf Bayou to Sterling Franklin Luker and Arah (Petty) Luker. Nina was united in marriage to Albert "Bun" Kimes in Portageville, MO on June 20, 1957, he survives of the home. Preceding her in death were her parents Frank & Arah, her sister, Imogene and brother, Joe. Nina sold Avon and Sarah Coventry jewelry in the Portageville area and worked as a secretary for the counselor at Conran Elementary, DAEOC Head Start, Dixie Farms and Bootheel Housing. She enjoyed quilting & reading. In high school she was in band, and served as a drum majorette and cheerleader for PHS. Nina was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the First Church of God in Portageville, MO. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband , Albert (Bun) Kimes, Son, Mark Kimes, daughter, Melenda Cayton all of Portageville, MO, brothers, Jesse Marlin Luker of Henley, MO, James "Jim" Albert Luker of Bethalto, IL, sisters, Mary Lou (Luker) Pylant of Memphis, TN, Wilma Josephine "Josie" Spurgeon of Union City, TN, grand-children, Sarah Jane Cayton of Frisco, TX, Rebecca Lee (Cayton) Gurley of Kennett, MO, Tyler Lawrence Kimes of Jonesboro, AR, Allison Elizabeth (Kimes) Ham of Springfield, MO, Haley Lynette Kimes of Portageville, MO , great-granddaughter, Addison Lee Gurley of Kennett, MO and many other relatives and friends.
