In Loving Memory of Michael Cawhorn

Michael Cawhorn, 59, of Lilbourn, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 13, 2026. He was born on April 10, 1967, in Columbia, Missouri, to Betty McClaine Cawhorn and the late Charles Cawhorn.

On May 24, 1986, Michael married the love of his life, Shelly Mosley, in Dexter, Missouri. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. Michael retired from the Noranda Aluminum Plant, where he was known for his dedication and hard work.

A man of many passions, Michael enjoyed flying and was a proud member of the RC Airplanes of Southeast Missouri. He found peace in bird watching from his home in Lilbourn and treasured every moment spent with his family.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Shelly Mosley Cawhorn of Lilbourn; his mother, Betty Cawhorn of Lilbourn; his son, Justin (Mindy) Cawhorn of Lilbourn; his daughter, Kayla Reasons of Lilbourn; and his cherished grandchildren, Owen Cawhorn of Lilbourn, and Saraha Reasons, Isabella Reasons, and Hunter Reasons, all of Caruthersville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cawhorn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Riverbend Pentecostals Church, followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Mounds Park Cemetery.

Michael's life was a testament to love, kindness, and the joy of simple pleasures. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him
