W as born January 30, 1955 in Parma, MO to David Roy Mims Sr and Wilma Beatrice Mims. He passed away on September 22, 2020 at Parma, Mo at the age of 65 years 7 months and 23 days. He was united in marriage to Brenda Sullivan on February 8, 1974 in Jackson, Missouri she survives of the home.

P receding him in death was  his parents David Roy Mims Sr and Wilma Beatrice Mims, his four brothers, Jeffrey Mims, Leland Mims, James Mims, Manuel Mims and one sister, Barbara Yarbrough.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Brenda Mims, his children; Chrystal (Ryan) Bincoe of New Madrid, Mo, Shannon (Jeff) Woods of Parma, Mo, Darin (Abby)  Mims of New Madrid, Mo,  He is survived by eight siblings; Wayne (Renee) Mims of Catron, Mo, Ronald Mims of Pennsylvania, Lily (Claude) Ervin of Grayridge, Mo, Reba Ezell of Dexter, Mo, Jerry Mims of Dexter, Mo, Elaine (Larry) Brooks of Malden, Mo, David Roy Mims Jr of Malden MO and Everett Mims of Idalia, MO.

Nine Grandchildren; Chelsea Mims of Sikeston, Mo, Trevor (Kara) Mims of Malden, Mo,  Amy Jeanne Mims of New Madrid, Mo, Kelsie Sweet of New Madrid, Mo, Garret Blincoe of Sikeston, Mo, Lilly Birdwell of New Madrid, Mo, Kaylie Layton of New Madrid MO, Riley Layton of New Madrid MO, Mari Ray of Sikeston, Mo, and One Great Granddaughter, Whitley Jane Mims of Malden, Mo, and a host of many other relatives and friends
