Melvin Ardell Shoults

W as born December 18, 1926 in Ste. Genevieve, MO to Harley Shoults and Nellie Cox Shoults. He departed from this life on Friday September 29, 2017 at Memphis TN, at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 11 days.

P receding him in death were his parents, Nellie Cox Shoults and Harley Shoults, one infant son Bobby Wayne Shoults and one sister Ruth Shoults. He was united in marriage on February 8, 1947 in Ste. Genevieve, MO to Juanita Haug, she survives of the home. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Portageville, he had retired from Frisco Railroad Company. The time he enjoyed with his family, church and friends he cherished the most.

H e leaves to cherish his many memories; his wife of 70 years Juanita Haug Shoults of Portageville, MO, two daughters: Janet (John) Scherer of Kennett, MO and Carole (Lewis) Douglas of Chesterfield, MO, three grandchildren; Jason (Meghan) Scherer, Steven (Katie) Scherer & Emily (Micah) Baize, seven great grandchildren; Adeline Scherer, Norah Scherer, Jack Scherer, Sophia Baize, Grace Baize, Cooper Scherer & Sloan Scherer and a host of many other relatives and friends.
