Melvielee Carnell

Melvielee (Brown) Carnell went home to her Lord and savior on Sunday March 23, 2025, at the age of 93. Melvielee was the daughter of Harve & Lula Brown of Portageville MO. Born on June 22, 1931, she was a graduate from Wardell High School in 1949.

Resided with her mom & dad on a cotton farm until 1972, then moved to the town of Portageville. She worked at Ben Franklin, Barkovitz and Segall's Department Stores and Bills Dollar Store. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Portageville Melvielee enjoyed being a member of the Pace Exercise program.

Preceded in death by her mother and father, sister and brother- in – law, Marlene and Dwight Bryant, brother and sister – in - law Malcolm and Betty Brown, and great grandson Skyler James.

Survived by son and daughter – in – law; Danny (Diane) Carnell of Tiptonville, TN, granddaughter, Melissa (Carnell) Duren. Daughter and son – in - law; Janet (Scott) Huyck of Crowley TX, grandson and wife Scott Huyck Jr & Jennifer Riley Huyck of Waxahachie TX, granddaughter and great granddaughter, Jennifer & Hannah Willette of Mansfield TX. Granddaughter, Christina (Morgan) Snowden and great granddaughter, Jessica of Texas, Great grandson & wife Austin (Marinna) Barnett of Burleson TX and three great great granddaughters. Neice, Marla (Steve) Lambert, her nephew, Eric (Mellisa) Bryant and a host of many other relatives and friends.
