Mattie Mae Alexander made her departure on July 20 2021. She was born February 12, 1995  to the late John Avery Dennis and Pauline Williams in Mississippi. She spent her first years residing in Portageville Mo. But at the age of 14 she moved back to Hernando Ms. She married Andrew Brown Alexander at the age of 18 and during this time she began to pursue her career in teaching. She was able to receive her high school education and her teaching degree. After receiving her degree, she moved back home to Portageville and began to teach school for many years. Evangelist Mattie worked in factories (Plastene and Brown Shoe). Afterwards she decided to change her career path and she became a home health worker and later she became a licensed Foster Parent. After becoming licensed foster care parent, she established her own daycare services and helped many others start their daycare business. Evangelist Mattie has been a foster care Parent for over 30 years, dedicated and faithful. At the age of 28 Mattie made the best decision in her life, she accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized in Jesus name. ( Water Baptized and Holy Ghost filled). Soon after she married Levan Johnson(28 yrs) and they resided in Caruthersville Mo. She continued with God under the leadership of the late Bishop James L Lane for over 15 years. In 2003 she moved to Arkansas and began to help other ministries. Not long afterwards God sent her to Holy Temple Church of the Lord Jesus, Blytheville Ar. Pastor: Vancel Lucas ( 1 ^st Lady Martha Lucas). She was a blessing and encouragement to this ministry. Mattie was faithful regardless of her sickness and any other issue she may have had. She did not let anything, nor anyone steal her joy. She was a very well-known Evangelist for over 20 years and her legacy will carry on. She was a teacher naturally and spiritually and inspired her children and others to get their education but most of all build their relationships with God.

Mattie was preceded in death by her father John Avery Dennis, brother Jerry Williams (Mo.)  and her sister Brenda Williams (Mo) Mattie leaves to mourn her passing 7 children & 3 Step- Children, Damon Alexander (Regina), Margeret Alexander (Edrick), Shatwanna Gilmore (Calvin), Andrew Alexander, Levan (Gator) Johnson, Kissy Presberry (Jamie), Andrinette Irby (Jesus), Shatvonta Chalmers. Dione Foreman ,Tiwanna Foreman. Her grandchildren. Jamar Alexander (Keterria),  Keshay Jones (Patrick), Ketrick Jones, Patrice Alexander, Damisha Alexander( Jeremiah), Omar (Tay) Wiley, De'mario Wiley, Areon Wiley, Koudada Wiley, Alfrazo Young, Al'Bresha Young (Orlando), Vantazia Drake (Jacquen), Jay'Whun Presberry, Jay'Vario Presberry, Danjae Webster, Meliek Chalmers, Dreshun Chalmers, Andrea Alexander, Lamar Alexander, La'Marion Chalmers, Shawn Chalmers Jr., Perriah Alexander-Smith, Xavia (Red) Alexander, Damon Alexander, Xarion Alexander, Delquan Alexander, Damontae Alexander, Dameone Alexander, Damond Alexander.

Great grandchildren; Jahmire, Raelynn , Raelle, Jernie, Justiss, Allison, Seriyah, Alaynia, Kinsley, Kayleigh (Miss Mattie), Jayden, London, Jonah, Tyrus, Jayden, London, Jonah, Daviona, Jayce, Jeremiah Jr., Jamie, Kemari, Na'Kayiah, Paisley, Mike, Kayla, MJ, Kehlani, Dalion. Sister; Luvenia Buchanan (John), Geraldine May (Elam), Maggie Williams. Ora Davis (Jim), Frances Dennis Stellars, and Augusta Dennis Chism. Brother; Dempsey Chalmers (Rev. Erma Jean Chalmers), James Dennis (Venita) and Joe Dennis (Susie). A host of nieces & nephews who she loved dearly ,As well as friends Mother Moon,Sis Dorthy Sheard,Sis Etta Bell,Sis Flora Pittman,Sis Rose Shaw.Special cousins Lillie Jones(Muncie) Edna Mae Jone
