Mary Margaret Sweatt was born October 27, 1933 in Point Pleasant, MO to John Lane and Margaret Elizabeth Dial. She died Friday, September 12, 2014 at her home in Portageville, MO at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage to Freddie Lee Sweatt who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death, were her parents, Margaret Elizabeth Dial and John Lane, a son Phillip Sweatt on October 26, 2009, a granddaughter, Jessica Sweatt, great-grandson, Jacob Harris, a brother, J.C. Lane and four sisters: Leona Hudseph, Marcella Yount, Bashbee Lopez and Maudie Leary. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons: Danny Sweatt of New Madrid, MO; Mark Sweatt of Malden, MO and Bruce Sweatt of Portageville, MO; three daughters: Susie Barnett, Sheila Sweatt and Shelly Mathis all of Portageville, MO, 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
