Sloan Was born November 25, 1918 in Kieser, Arkansas to Minnie McDougal Johnson and Darris Johnson she died Friday July 24, 2009 at St. Francis Medical Center Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 29 days. Preceding her in death were her parents, Minnie McDougal Johnson & Darris Johnson; Husbands: Otis Maness & Calvin Sloan; brothers: James D. Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Homer Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Audie Johnson & Charles Otis Johnson & one sister, Luddie Mae Fox. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She leaves to cherish her memories her son: Edward (Ed) Thomas Maness of Henderson, TN; 8 grandchildren: Sharon Ann Prust, Mary Ellen Vaccaro, Donna Maness, Anthony T. Maness, Kathleen Poss, Donna Marie Kirby, JoAnn Novak Maness & Thomas Maness; numerous great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday July 27, 2009 at the DeLisle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eugene Poole officiating. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery with DeLisle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
