Mary Lou Priggel

On Sunday, May 9, 2021 Mary Lou passed away at the age of 78. She was born October 14, 1942 in Detroit Lake, Minnesota to John and Florence (Metzler) Ferrin. In 1964 she graduated from college at St. Teresa in Winona, MN, also in 1964 she started as a lay volunteer with the Catholic Extension, and she ultimately ended up in Portageville where she met the love of her life, Joseph Paul Priggel. September 11, 1965 they were married at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lake, MN.  Sadly, Joe Paul preceded her in death March 3, 2018. Also preceding her was her parents, two brothers, Tom, and Denny Ferrin and one sister Kathy Peichel.

Mary Lou was a faithful member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church, where she served on Ladies of Sodality. She was a good Christian mother and lady. She loved life and her children and grandchildren. She loved talking , playing board games, cards or just making someone feel welcomed into her home.

She leaves to cherish so many happy memories her children, Joey (Heather) Priggel of Portageville, Shawn Priggel of Durham, NC, Kelly (Michael) McHale of Quincy, IL, Tricia (Kevin) Rone of Portageville, Katy (Daryl) Cunningham of Camdenton, MO, Teresa (Nick) Brandon of Cape Girardeau, MO, her brothers, David (Linda) Ferrin of Duluth, MN, Lynn (Linda) Ferrin of Cottage Grove, OR, 15 grandchildren, Bryce & Gracie Rone, Ryan, Kelsie & Maggie McHale, Sarah Henslee, Tyler, Sydney & Caroline Cunningham, Libbie, Liza, Landry & Lexi Priggel, Abigail & Andrew Brandon, two great-grandchildren, Oliver McHale and Jayce Shearer and a host of many other relatives and friends,
