Mary Evelyn Murphy "Dot" Was born Jan. 16, 1931 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Meddie Franks Emanuel and Walter Jacob Emanuel. She died January 30, 2009 at Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 78 years & 14 days. She was a member of the Conran Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Meddie Franks Emanuel & Walter Jacob Emanuel; two sons: Kenny Wayne Marshall & Doyle Gene Smith; her brothers: Pete, Bud, Billy & Ralph Emanuel; 3 sisters: Ruth Escalante, Vera Emanuel & Ora Jean Hornbarger. She leaves to cherish her memories, 3 daughters; Brenda Marshall of Portageville, Mo., Shirley (Ray) Harris of Herculanum, MO & Judy (Larry) Freeland of Cullman, Al; 4 grandchildren: Kevin, Kelly, Amy, & Kim; 5 great-grandchildren: Clayton, Brooke, Keaton, Morgan & Grant, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday February 1, 2009 at DeLisle Funeral Chapel with Dr. Buck Morton officiating. Pallbearers were: Larry Freeland, Ray Gene Harris, Kevin Harris, Kelly Harris, Allen Williams & Brian Owens. Honorary bearers were: Pete Marshall, Randy Marshall, Prim Dunlap & Ronnie Gooch. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery with DeLisle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
