Mary Ann Long, 91, of Grubbs Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on June 1st, 2020 surrounded by the family she loved more than anything.

Born Feb. 18, 1929 to Lena Mae Cloud and J.W. Stoker, Mary Ann had three siblings, Imogene Carlile, Howard Stoker and June Wade Stoker. Mary Ann was a popular and dedicated student who loved to play basketball in high school.

In 1946, Mary Ann married Troy Long Sr. and together they made their home in Portageville Missouri. Her husband preceded her in death at the age of 29.  Together they had three children Troy Long (Kaki), Randall Guy Long (Suzanne), and Lee Anne Long.  Both Randall Guy (68) and Lee Anne (6) preceded her in death.  Despite the tragedy in her life Mary Ann worked tirelessly to provide for her family- a value she instilled in her children. With help at home from her niece, Judy Pate, she worked several jobs as a DJ for a local radio station and later for Entergy power company.  Her kids became her world for whom she would do anything for and gave her unwavering love and support to.

Rarely she missed one of her grandchildren or great grandchildren's sporting events.  She was also an avid fan of NBA basketball, following her favorite players, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and others.  She loved to shop, visit with friends and loved to exercise.  For years she could be found walking her daily three miles around the local park.

Her family flourished and she became the proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren- Dr. Troy Long III (Debbie), Christopher Long, Kimberlee Ann Taylor (Cory), Melissa Catherine Long, Gerard Lehman Long (Amy), Gabriel Michael Long (Ashley), Mary Luella Sykes (Antonio), Elizabeth Maria Wheeler (Gary), John Paul Long, Joshua Allgier Long (Jenny), Faith Danielle Smith (Greg), Anna Rachelle Long, Jennifer Lee Long, Jamie Sowers (Steve), and Jeffrey Neal Long. She also leaves behind 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.  It's through these family and friends that her legacy and memories will endure.
