Martin "Byrd" Garmon, age 72, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, MO.

He was born on Wednesday, August 19, 1953, in Hayti, MO to the late Margie Bernice Garmon.

He worked at Noranda Aluminum for over 30 years until he retired.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by four brothers, LT Strickland, Edward Goodrich, James Hill and William Hill.

Martin is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mae Garmon; Two sons, Timothy(Renetha)Booker of Overland Park, MO and Martin Garmon, Jr of Nashville, TN; four daughters, Tammie(Tony) Smith, Trish Garmon, Kandace Garmon and Tiffany Garmon all of Portageville, MO; one brother, Marvin(Shirley) Garmon of Dayton, OH; two sisters, Jessie Mae Kirby of San Antonio, TX and Brenda Garmon of Portageville, MO; 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.

Visitation services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Delisle Funeral Home, 209 West Main Street
Portageville, MO 63873 with Brother Michael Nix officiating.
