Marlene Brown Bryant 88 of Portageville passed away April 21, 2022 at the Sikeston convalescent Center.

She was born September 25. 1933 in rural Pemiscot County. MO to Harve &Lula Glover Brown. Marlene had worked at Mars Department store in Portageville and as an aide for the Portageville School District.

She was a member of the Portageville Church of Christ. On June 12. 1952 in Piggott, AR she married Glen Dwight Bryant, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Malcolm (Sonny) Brown.

Marlene is survived by one sister, Melvielee Carnell of Portageville, MO, one sister –in -law Betty Brown of Baldwin Park CA, one daughter and son- in -law, Marla & Steve Lambert of Sikeston, MO, one son and daughter- in-law, Eric & Melissa Bryant of Columbia, TN, eight grandchildren. Andrew (Rebecca) Lambert. of Cape Girardeau, MO, Abbey (Melvin) Johnson, of Cape Girardeau, MO, Zachary (Amanda) Bryant of Woodbury, TN, Kegan (Fiancé Lilly) Bryant of Memphis TN, two great grandchildren, Ian Johnson and Jett Lambert of Cape Girardeau MO and a host of many other relatives and friends.
