In Loving Memory of Mark Edward Posey
February 2, 1963 – December 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Edward Posey, age 62, of Portageville, Missouri, who departed this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in his hometown.

Born on February 2, 1963, in Portageville, Mark was the beloved son of Darlis Parks Posey and the late Billy Robert Posey. He grew up surrounded by family and community, carrying with him a deep love for his roots and the people who shaped his life.

Mark was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and caring brother. He is survived by his mother, Darlis Posey of Killeen, Texas; his son, Mark Robert Posey of Texas; his brother, Steven Robert Posey of Portageville, Missouri; and his cherished grandchildren, Thomas Andrew (Danels) Atkins and Alyssa, wife of grandson Eryn-Faith Posey Atkins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Robert Posey.

Mark will be remembered for his quiet strength, his loyalty to family, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A service to honor Mark's life will be announced by the family at a later date
