Margaret Phillips

Was born   September 26, 1940, in Portageville, MO to the late Thelma Yarbo DeRousse & Ollie DeRousse. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday March 11, 2022, at the age of 81 years, 5 months & 13 days.

Preceding her in death was her parents; Thelma Yarbo DeRousse, and Ollie DeRousse, also preceding her was three brothers: George DeRousse Wilburn DeRousse & Bernie DeRousse and one sister; Margie Simmons. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville. She worked for City of Portageville for 34 years as the city collector. She was united in marriage on June 18, 1971, in Hayward, MO to the late Chester Phillips, he preceded her in death in 2013.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her brother: James DeRousse of Portageville, MO, one sister: Mary Ada (Steve) Daugherty of Portageville, MO, two daughters: Sheila West & Sherry (Bill) Creech both of Ocoee, FL Numerous: Nieces & Nephews and a host of many other relatives and friends.
